High energy costs and diminishing non renewable resources offer two very good reasons for us to move into alternative energy supply. Home made wind power or low cost residential windmill can provide extremely low cost electricity. In fact newer efficient wind turbines that you can build for under $200 are being tied into battery storage that is also fed power from home solar panels. These new power systems are so efficient that people are selling electricity back to the power companies. We are rapidly depleting our natural resources and find ourselves far too dependent on gasoline. The unfortunate part of that is this is a double edged sword. Not only are we consuming huge quantities of gasoline, we are buying it from Eastern countries. They charge whatever they determine the market will bear. They then return to us with our money and buy up all our prized assets.
